the brief
We were tasked to design a new logo for Jacklin's direct mail Disney book club. The idea is that this logo will be used on the top right hand side of any title that they develop in order to make it recognisable as the Disney book club here in South Africa.The design needed to be playful, vibrant and impactful while fitting in within Disney's current overall visual style. Having the correct balance of visibility with the books title when placed on its cover, as well as being practical for other forms of application.
the result
Drawing from the previous "Wonderful World of Reading" logo we sought to create a more modern and playful logo. The resulting design retains the same elements yet draws inspiration from the visual style of the modern Disney Channel logo's and show identities. It's playful, punchy and practical, and would not be misplaced when placed next to other Disney logo's.

We are really excited about the new logo for the Disney Book Club. It blends in well with the overall Disney branding in the marketplace.
